Santa Margherita

is located in the Riviera Ligure, Italy . It is a central place from which you  can visit amazing places like  Portofino, Cinque Terre, Rapallo and Camogli as day trips. All these beautiful cities can be reached by local buses and some are 30 min walk.Tour boats are also available. That allows you to see up close the fancy yachts docked in the marinas. 

All around St. Margherita you can find ancient Roman trails

perfect for hiking.  You can always find small cafes (bar) that serve delicious sandwiches or pastries where you can stop and enjoy the local atmosphere.

The downtown area has a wonderful pedestrian walkway with bakery shops, wine stores and shops with prepared foods (rosticcerie) and very chic clothing stores (negozi di abbigliamento). The food is amazing. Pesto is their specialty and is served on pasta, ravioli and pizza.

Why learn a language

Imagine landing in a foreign country and every body around you speaks a different language. Many of us wished we had basic to communicate with people when travelling to foreign countries. Being a native of Italy I would like to offer you the opportunity to learn a few sentences, before you depart for your dream vacation. How to communicate with the locals or ask for directions, or order a meal.

This blog will give you basic sentences in different areas help you ask questions once you land in Italy. For example if you ask for a coffee you will receive an expresso ristretto (short expresso). But if you ask for “un cafe americano” you will receive a cup of brewed coffee.

Tips will be issued weekly. For example if you order a coffee at the bar you will pay a certain price, but if you decide to sit down and be served for the same coffee it will be six times as much, plus tip.
